Brownfields Program Management & Implementation
Brownfields Program Management
What Are Brownfields?
Brownfields are properties whose redevelopment potential is hindered by actual or perceived environmental contamination – sites including, but not limited to abandoned gasoline stations, old mine properties, and formerly utilized defense sites.
BEC has successfully managed brownfield projects for both federal and state brownfields programs since 2002. We maintain a unique understanding of all aspects of the program and have actively engaged many of EPA’s 33 federal agency brownfields partners to successfully complete brownfields projects. Similarly, we have established relationships with stakeholder representatives critical to the successful implementation of the brownfields program – from site identification through the redevelopment process.
